Golden Gate Park Family Maternity Session | San Francisco
Some love stories are rooted in a place — and for this sweet Denver couple, that place is San Francisco. They fell in love here, got married here, and even though life carried them to the mountains of Colorado, the city by the bay still holds a little piece of their hearts. When they reached out to me about coming back to San Francisco for portraits for their newest addition to the fam, I knew exactly where we had to go: the tulip gardens of Golden Gate Park, the very spot where they exchanged their vows.
Golden Gate Park’s tulip garden is pure magic in bloom. Nestled along JFK Drive, the Queen Wilhelmina Tulip Garden bursts into color every spring, and on the morning of this shoot, it did not disappoint. Rows of soft pinks, deep purples, and creamy whites stretched out beneath the iconic Dutch windmill — a backdrop that felt both wildly romantic and deeply personal for a couple whose wedding day began just steps away. And big brother was excited to join in on the fun!
Why Shoot in San Francisco?
If you have Denver clients — or clients from anywhere, really — who still have deep roots in San Francisco, a location session back in their old neighborhood is one of the most meaningful gifts you can give them. We’re not just making pretty pictures; we’re honoring the chapters that shaped who they are. And Golden Gate Park, with its wide meadows, ancient trees, and yes, those glorious tulips, offers something for every couple.
Though I’m currently based in Colorado right now, I’m available to travel back to SF for sessions- get in touch to book yours!
